Phil MacFarlane started JVM Research & Advisory Services to help business and legal professionals respond to the impact of growing policy uncertainty. He has more than 15 years of experience in analyzing the business impacts of regulatory changes, policy trends, and political developments, including more than 10 years at a Big Four accounting and advisory firm. He has advised clients on tax and trade policy, energy and climate tax policy, and geopolitics.

Phil has published law review articles on China’s trade policy in Latin America and international financial regulation and has expertise in analysis and thought leadership on tax, trade, and other complex policy matters.
